Aaron Martinez - Personal Trainer

Born and raised in Azusa, CA with 3 siblings, my brothers and I were very competitive and played almost every sport there was to play. Out of all the sports played, the one that really stuck was baseball. I was a catcher for 16 years, which led to playing baseball at Azusa Pacific University.

After catching for so many years, the wear and tear on my knees finally put me out of the sport I loved so much. Going through physical therapy, I was fascinated with the human body and how it can be corrected through proper exercise. I graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Applied Exercise Science (known now by most as Kinesiology). Since then I have worked with Mt. SAC's summer sports teams, working alongside the ATC to get athletes back to full health. I was then hired as a head strength coach for APU's women's volleyball and men's basketball teams. I have spent nearly 4 years working in an identical format that you enjoy at The Training Spot and I am confident that I will be able to replicate your experience now. Aside from recently marrying my bride, Kim, I moved to Long Beach and enjoy competing in Olympic Weightlifting competitions to maintain the competitive aspect of fitness."

Aaron's accomplishments in the field of fitness include:

  • Bachelors of Science in Applied Exercise Science
  • Certified Personal Trainer- National Academy of Sports Medicine
